Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
The Oliva Ethnological Museum inaugurated a new exhibition on Thursday evening, entitled ‘Francisco Brines: la certidumbre de la poesía.' The display was organised by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, alongside the Universidad de Alcalá.
Representatives from Valencia CF, who are undertaking a preseason training camp at the Hotel Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort, were in attendance.
The exhibition pays tribute to Brines, a devoted Valencianista who won the Premio Cervantes award on May 20th. He was the first Valencian writer to achieve such a feat.
Director of the Fundación Francisco Brines, Àngels Gregori, unveiled the exhibition, which features previously unseen artefacts, a selection of Brines' poetry, and photos of his house, L'Elca.
Amongst the attendees were representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Universidad de Alcalá, the Oliva city council and the Fundación Francisco Brines.
